Can you feel the heat? Summer is really coming fast and still I’m not prepared. Naks. For one, I haven’t bought any swimsuit yet for our much anticipated Bora trip which, by the way, is still 2 months away. To avoid the people who am sure are going to buy swimsuit when summer really kicks in, I want to buy as early as now. Actually, it’s not early anymore. I’m kinda late! My original plan was to buy beach attire, summer get-ups last December when every beach wear shops are on sale. Haay. Why did I have to wait until now?!

Tip: If you want to buy swimsuits, especially if you’re going for the brand names, buy it on December. They put every swimsuits on sale (as in 30%, 50%, sometimes 70% off). So what if your attire was last season? Hello, swimsuit yun!

Note: For my guy readers (naks), you might want to stop reading. The next entry is targeted for my girl readers, gays are allowed.

In time for hitting the beach, my courageous and strong friend, who I will not mention her name, braved the one thing that every woman wants to do but are afraid to do it: Brazilian wax. Oh, God. Just the thought of it gives me the creeps.

I won’t go into details. Of course, we girls and gays know what it is. She wants me to try it. “Ano?! Di ako masokista! Bakit ko sasaktan sarili ko!” She told me that the pain was just one time big time and that the next time she’s going to feel it is not for another 2 months or so.

For my friend and the others who have tried this, kudos! As for those who are curious and brave enough, drop by any Forever Flawless branch. I heard it’s one of their services. They’d be happy to tell you what it’s all about. Great for those who will wear thongs/string bikinis to the beach. Being beautiful really hurts!

Why is it that every Valentines the guys have to give girls flowers and chocolates? Seriously. Why? Why?

I just read Ken’s, my friend, entry about the post-valentines watchamacallits. Is it really the thought that counts? I mean, why flowers and chocolates? To represent the guy’s love for the girl? Why can’t they just give something worth using like, a day trip to the spa or a nice dine out (w/o the flowers, of course)?

I don’t have anything against guys giving flowers and chocolates. If these things really send out the love message to their gals, oh man. I enjoyed receiving flowers before but nilagpasan ko na ang stage na yun. It was lovely and sweet for some time, but for four years, don’t think so. Am not a fan of mushiness. I’d rather you take me out for dinner and a movie (before or after Valentine’s Day, never during the day itself. ), write me a letter or even give me a card, or just lie on the couch and watch TV. Or better, I want to see a blimp on a clear sky with my name on it! Ayokong sumabay sa hype ng Valentines. Puh-leese.

Flowers are lovely for sometime but they wilt. Chocolates make you fat. Is this the thought the guys want us to decode?

P.S. I don’t want to sound like a killjoy. Just want to share my thoughts.

Phew…finally I have the time to write my first official post here. So much has happened to me. For starters, the last two weeks I had been an unofficial member of a paparazzi in action, hunting down artists in their dressing rooms and studios for their voice greetings to their “loyal” subscribers. Unofficial because it’s not really my job to do that but come on, I love the gossips! Haha. I just accompanied a good friend; it’s her job by the way.

So back to the title. I woke up one morning and discovered something on my face- a big red bump that is really visible. My goodness, I have a pimple!!! Why oh why, I have passed adolescence a few years ago. Maybe not with flying colors, but still I passed! The best part of this hideous pimple is its location- right on my nose. Great. The universe has played a good joke on me this time.

I tried the speed clear gel that said it actually works in 3 days. It did actually worked, but it left a pimple scar. I wonder if my sister who has a lot of pimplets (the smaller version of pimples) on her forehead got rid of ‘em in 3 days.

Based from my sister’s experience, the gel half worked. It got rid half of her pimplets on her forehead – with pimple scars by the way – while the other half were still pimplets. Not to bash the makers of the speed gel, but I think the gel works on just one pimple. If you watch the commercial, the girl there has just one pimple, not even two or three. Singular, not plural. I don’t know about the others who tried it, this is just my opinion. =)

They say that as you get older, less pimples or acne will show up or even zero acne. Hmmm, they may be right but what the heck, I got small zits right now. Not that visible though, good thing my concealer can handle it. Now I’m wondering if I really passed the adolescence stage.

*** As I’m typing this entry, I remembered the matatanda’s saying: “Kumain ng maraming saging para di magka-tighiyawat. Nakakita ba kayo ng unggoy na may tighiyawat?” ***

A friend of mine suggested that I get a facial. I haven’t tried it yet but I did some researching. And my, they are really expensive. But expensive does not always mean it’s effective. So I asked her where to go to a facial center/ clinic that is not that pricey but really effective. She suggested the Forever Flawless place, she tried the facial there and she liked the service and the treatment. Hmmm, I’ll be paying a visit there next weekend. Want to go with me, anyone? =)
