Road trip

Time while typing this entry: 11:50 p.m.

Mood: Exhausted but happy

I got back in Manila around 9pm from an unplanned road trip. My friend and I were just talking at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (plugging) last night about Punta Fuego. You know what she said?

“Tara, bukas punta tayo. Ano?”

Without thinking, I said yes. There’s nothing to do anyway for the next day, so why not?

8:30 am Sept. 6- got a text from my friend: “Oi gising na, tuloy tayo.” I thought she was only joking about actually going there, but she wasn’t. I’m still sleepy.

9:30 am- my friend went to our house. To her surprise, I was still in pajamas, half dreaming and half awake. “Seryoso ba to?”

“Maligo ka na pwede! Tatanghaliin tayo!”

1:30 pm- We met my other half outside of our village and headed to Festival Mall to meet my friend’s boyfriend. By the way, I only informed him of our road trip at around 12:00 am while he was still sleeping! Talk about an unplanned double date! For the record that this was still an unplanned road trip, my friend text-ed her boyfriend at around 8 am of our road trip. Madness, I know.

2:15 or 2:30pm- Finally. Festival Mall. We rode my friend’s boyfriend’s car. Non stop music and laugh trip. We really our insane.

3:30pm- Mushroom Burger, Tagaytay. Ahh, finally late lunch. Another round of laughter and this time, non stop chit chat.

4:00pm- “Inuman” overlooking Taal Volcano. Our “inuman” session wasn’t planned either.

              My new favorite drink as of press time: San Mig Light with Extra Joss. For those who haven’t tried this, ask me about the taste! (plugging uli!)

At around 7pm, we drove back to Manila. 2 restroom stopovers and another round of non stop music, laughter and reminiscing.

What a day!!!
